Description
Congratulations on your arriving at your final destination for 'better green tea'! This Japanese Sencha is the most popular green tea in Japan and most of it never leaves the country.
So what makes it a Superior green tea? Well, unlike many green teas, this Sencha isn’t fried. Instead, the leaves are steamed and left to dry, giving it more of an earthy, herby flavour with notes of lemon and spinach. It tastes clean and doesn't leave that bitter, tacky feeling on the tongue like inferior green teas you've had.
Australian Certified Organic and free from agricultural chemicals or pesticides, this TEA MATE green tea is the daily green to keep you clean! It is loaded with antioxidants and smells nicer than a sea breeze blowing across a freshly mown lawn in spring.
This is our daily green tea to keep you clean. Straight from organic farmers int he mountains of Japan. This Superior Grade drop is buttery smooth and perfectly balanced to have you cruising back for more.
Green tea is touted to be one of the healthiest beverages on the planet due to it's high polyphenols, EGCG catechins and L-Theanine.
Green tea has been found to help with fat burning (Dulloo et al). Positive effects on body-weight management have also been shown in subjects who drink green tea, as the catechin may prevent development of obesity (Diepvens, Westerterp, and Westerterp-Plantenga).
Green tea also contains a catechin (EGCG) known for it's high antioxidants and potential cancer-fighting characteristics. Kurahashi et al suggest that drinking green tea has a proposed decreased risk of cancer.
Drewe et al presented evidence that green tea influences psychopathological symptoms (e.g. reduction of anxiety), cognition (e.g. benefits in memory and attention) and brain function (e.g. activation of working memory seen in functional MRI). Nathan and Oliver also found that green tea has anxiety reducing properties.
