We curated a sleep tea designed to activate all Australians unwind, de-stress, reduce anxiety and chill the f* out. Bonus, the ingredients in our organic sleep tea have also been found to aid in providing a restorative, deep sleep.
True to our commitment to environmental sustainability, these tea bags are 100% biodegradable soilon made from starches, so there's no micro-plastics to worry about!
Comprising skullcap which has been used to fight off feelings of insomnia and sleeplessness for hundreds of years. Massive Organic Chamomile Flowers, Lemon Balm, Passionflower, Rose Petals and Lavender all blend perfectly to deliver a balanced, smooth and calming drink that feels like a 'big warm hug for your stomach'.

Organic Skullcap:
Profusing blue and purple flowers, chinese skullcap root has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat allergies, infections, inflammation, cancer, and headaches. It may have antifungal and antiviral effects. Animal studies suggest that Chinese skullcap may help reduce symptoms of diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure), but scientists don't know if Chinese scullcap has the same effect in humans. Skullcap may lower blood sugar levels.
Organic Chamomile Flowers:
We then mix in Organic Chamomile Flowers for it's calming effects. Chamomile has been used as a herbal medication since ancient times and contains various bioactive phytochemicals that could provide therapeutic effects.
Chamomile can help in improving cardiovascular conditions, stimulate the immune system and provide some protection against cancer (Srivastava, Shankar and Gupta).
In one study of 64 diabetic people, those who consumed chamomile tea daily with meals for eight weeks had significantly lower average blood sugar levels than those who consumed water (Rafraf, Zemestani, Asghari-Jafarabadi).
Chamomile contains antioxidants that may bind to certain receptors in your brain that promote sleepiness (Srivastava, Shankar and Gupta).
Lemon Balm:
From the mint family, lemon balm leaves have a mild lemon aroma and are used in medicines and to flavour foods.
Interestingly, lemon balm contains extracts that have been found to have sedative and calming effects. It may also have anti-virus and bacgeria capabilities and have uses in plant medicine regarding positive effects on anxiety, stress, insomnia, indigestion, dementia, cold sores and many other conditions and diseases. More studies are required to provide greater scienteitfic evidence.
Rose Petal:
Settle petal.... We put rose petals in your tea to mess with you. Kidding. Rose petals have a high correlation to Barry White being played. Furthermore, studies have found that rose petals can Reducing Anxiety. A cup of rose tea can help to soothe anxiety and reduce stress, improve digestion, sooth menstrual cramps, are high in antioxidants, contain antimicrobial properties *breath*, reduce inflammation and are high in vitamin C.
Lavender:
Lavender tea health benefits kick off well with a correlation with improved respiration and sleep, reducing inflammation, boosting immune health and detoxifying the body, supporting digestion. Other studies find support for skin help, soothing anxiety and calming your mood.

Tea Ritual
1. Yawn and throw one teabag into a tea cup.
2. Add a normal amount of boiling water (100°C) to your cup and let it hang for 1-3 minutes.
3. Change up your brew time for evolving flavours and a more potent sleep brew. Add honey for sweetness and enjoy 1-2 cups 30 minutes to 1 hour before sleep for optimal effects.
