How To Brew Yerba Mate

Yerba Mate is an exotic South American herbal tea. It's like a natural energy drink with a zingy punch that'll help you do life at an optimal level! Here's how to brew loose leaf Yerba Mate in a teapot (not using a traditional 'Bombilla').

Yerba Mate is a bona fide coffee alternative with antioxidants to boot. It is similar to green tea but has less of a 'seaweed' taste, and is more zesty and grassy in flavour. Yerba Mate has also been called 'Cowboy Coffee' by the Argentinian gauchos (cowboys) who drank Yerba because it gave them energy during long cattle-drive days.

STEP 1

Add 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf Yerba to your teapot.
